Choose a variety that has a small root system and plant it far enough away from the fence to trim or prune its branches without worrying about damaging the fence. Or, instead, opt to plant flowers, shrubbery or even vegetables and herbs in garden boxes at least two feet in front of the fence. You will still have the beautiful plants can offer without compromising the integrity of your pickets or panels.
Think Curtains
When you begin to think of your outdoor space as another room to your home, it is easy to see ways to decorate it using some of the same tricks you would in an interior room.
